Product Description
Based on a high school art project that became the subject of one of my college research papers, this is a PowerPoint I made several years ago that posits that J.K. Rowling was heavily influenced by Symbolist painters such as Redon, Moreau, and Rousseau in creating her Harry Potter characters and landscapes. This PowerPoint would be appropriate for a middle or high school grade art/art history/social studies classroom, or even university. There are no questions or prompts in the 52 slide PowerPoint, but there are comprehension checks and vocabulary scaffolds, which make it suitable for learning facts and vocabulary associated with the Symbolist movement. Harry Potter lovers, art fanatics, and students who just like seeing side-by-side comparisons, rich colors, and entertaining gifs will enjoy this presentation.
