This is a set of comprehension questions to be used when reading the novel. The questions focus on basic reading and fact finding.
I usually give each student a copy of the questions when we begin the novel, and then use as homework, classwork etc.. It gives students a chance to show off their knowledge of the events in the novel. I'm often amazed to rediscover that students love the routine of answering questions in this format. I also use this exercise with weak and ESL students, insisting that they write full sentences as answers.
There are 248 questions in total. It's an 11 page handout, in Word format, so editable to suit your class.
