Product Description
Match the eggs to the chicks! Practicing rhymes is fun with this hands-on rhyming activity with a chicks, eggs, and spring theme for Easter.   This simple rhyming game is perfect for ELA or literacy centers in preschool, prek, kindergarten, SPED, and RTI.

Contents:
20 hatching eggs mats: Each mat includes a picture of one egg featuring an image.  The images are mostly CVC words and easy to rhyme.  4 mats are provided for each middle vowel.  Only short vowels are used.
20 chick cards:Each chick card features an image that rhymes with only one egg mat.

How to play:
This activity is best suited for children who have already been introduced to the concept of rhyming and can identify rhymes in songs and stories. This rhyming printable is great as an individual activity or a group activity. To play:

1. Line up the hatching egg mats and name the picture on the egg.
2. Place the individual chick cards in a stack.
3. Pick up a chick card and name the picture.
4. Look for the rhyming hatching egg mat and place the chick card on it.

I have used mostly easy CVC words for these cards so that the rhymes are simple. This printable includes 4 rhyming pairs for each short vowel.
