This Haudenosaunee or Iroquois legend is about a pompous bear, who thinks he can do ANYTHING! The chipmunk is happy to try to prove the bear wrong. This story teaches more than one lesson to students, while also showing the importance of oral tradition and how it relates to the Haudenosaunee.
