This product presents vocabulary words in an ongoing short story format. By encouraging students to learn words in the context of an ongoing story, they deepen their reading comprehension while applying newly learned words in an authentic context.
This unit contains 55 words with seven differentiated tests, suitable for an entire semester's vocabulary work. There are two versions of the same story. One version provides additional context clues and is written at a more accessible reading level.
This will allow your entire class to take the "same" test at the same time. The high quality, high impact vocabulary words included in this unit have played a critical role in raising standardized test scores.
In this story, a group of friends enter an abandoned house looking for a missing friend. They quickly find that the house is haunted by a spirit who has turned the house into a real-life video game.
