Exit tickets are one of my favorite classroom tools because they help me determine whether my kids have walked away with a solid understanding of the lesson in a quick and easy way. They also can teach students to be aware of and reflect on their own thinking and learning.
Once you make exit tickets part of your classroom routines, you will be amazed at how easy and USEFUL they are to your teaching. Use them to form flexible small groups, determine differentiation options and more!
There are 12 types of exit tickets (some have 2-4 versions). Each exit ticket has a half-page of direction and best practice tips. These half-pages can be laminated, hole-punched and made into a small resource book that can be used year after year for exit ticket quick reference.
I have also included exit ticket organization tips, plus two printables that you can use to establish an exit ticket collection system.
