Aloha! I created this mini unit all about Hawaii for my kiddies! With so much culture and attractions, your students will feel like they just took a mini vacation! :) I have also included boarding passes to give out when you begin the unit! This is great to go with any social studies unit, too. I have also included a MINI BOOK! :)
Here's what is included:
-Hawaiian boy and girl craft (with guitar and shaved ice!) :)
-Boarding pass for girl and boy(I give these out before the unit begins)
-Aloha poster to hang up in your room
-Food, Islands, Celebrations, Location chart
-Facts about Hawaii (I read this to my students first and discuss)
-Facts about Hawaii response sheet
-Vocabulary picture cards (Hula girl, Hawaii, shaved ice, Hula boy, Totem pole, Pineapple, lei, torch)
-Compare and contrast Hawaii/My Country
-"Happenin' Hawaii": Here students find the word cards and match them up. Then read them and fill in the blanks on the sheet with the missing word in English or Hawaiian.
-"Aloha for Numbers" Here students will match the Hawaiian and English numbers up on the palm tree cards, then complete the worksheet.
-"Color Me Hawaiian"
-7 page Mini book about Hawaii
Thanks and I hope you enjoy this! :)
**Preview included! **
