These boards can be used in multiple ways. I like to print out two copies of each, cut out the boxed images from one copy and keep the other as a 'board game'. I play this game in groups of at least two. Mix up the cards in the middle. Each child/student takes a turn by choosing a card and stating “'he'/’she' (depending on the tile chosen) is” and then states the occupation or action depicted on the card. The child with the corresponding gender and action/occupation on their board must repeat the action/occupation back with the appropriate accompanying pronoun. For example, the child might be required to say “I have, she is painting”. In order to receive the tile they need to state the correct pronoun. The student who fills their board first wins.
I also laminate all boards and squares for durability.
