This beautiful, diverse set features 15 different head coverings- cultural, vocational and decorative. Rather than separating out religious head coverings as 'other' in their own isolated category, we have made the intentional choice to create a set that combines all three reasons people cover their heads. Featuring original art, and with definition cards that were vetted and approved by people who wear specific cultural coverings (like the Sikh dastar or the African head wrap), this set is sure to be a favourite in the classroom.
It also features a bonus card to include both American and Canadian vocabulary- one card uses the word beanie and the other uses the word toque, so that they are useable in classrooms across Canada and the US.
This set set can be printed and assembled as either 3 part or 4 part matching cards. Each head covering has a control card, image card, label, and a definition (either for older students to read themselves, or for teachers to use for their own education before presenting the cards).
