Students take turns choosing a card that is facing down in a stack. The simply hold the card up to their forehead. (No head bands needed!)!
Students ask Yes or No questions to determine their word. A question card with sample questions in included.
Example: Am I an animal? Can I swim?
The other students in the group (or the partner) gives clues to help the student determine the word.
Example: It is an animal! It lives in the ocean. It can swim.
I love using this to teach inferences as well as in small group speaking stations for my ESL students. I use option 1 with more fluent students and option 2 with less fluent students.
This is a perfect Print and Take Home Game as well to practice basic English vocabulary at home.
