This activity encourages healthy eating habits for teens. MyPlate (www.choosemyplate.gov) is a guideline for healthy eating. It suggests including food from the five food groups – fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, dairy – to build a healthy plate at each meal. Students will learn about each food group and the daily recommendations for servings from the information provided. They will use the planner to track the food they eat from each food group for five days. .
