Lesson One – Ben and Judy’s Stories Includes These Learning Topics and will allow students to choose one of two stories to complete the assignment:
Students will learn what love is and what it is not.
Students will learn this by reading a story about people and their relationships.
Students will be assessed by their ability to read and comprehend a story and then apply their knowledge by correctly completing a Worksheet.
The Complete Health Literature Unit uses Stories that Allow Students to Emotionally Relate to Health Consequences. Once a teacher prepares these activities they will be available to enhance other health units (such as Human Growth and Development, What is Love, The Difference Between Men and Women, etc.) in case of an emergency or and Planned/Unplanned Sub Day.
Judy’s Story or Ben’s Story represents teenage consequences of sexual activity in the form of a story that students can relate to. These stories are a composite of consequences (statistics in story form) where you (the student) will feel the characters emotions as they experience the consequences.
Appointment with love is a very short story about two people who fall in love during World War II. Their courtship is thru letters. The story is all about their character and the importance of their character on the day they meet.
