This full lesson plan covers a review of the menstrual cycle, a review of the reproductive system quiz, (which is created by the teacher at their own discretion), and the introduction to the male reproductive system. This lesson is typically covered in grades 6-12. The following objectives will be covered:
Given a class session, the students will demonstrate an understanding of class protocol by obeying all class rules throughout the entire class period.
Given group discussion, students will demonstrate socially responsible behavior by collaborating with their peers throughout the entire activity session.
Given a review of the quiz, the students will show an understanding of the female reproductive system by examining the questions the teacher gives to the students during the class period.
Given a review session, the students will show an understanding of the menstrual cycle by recalling the three stages for the menstrual cycle, that occur during a monthly period given by the teacher in a class period.
Given a choral-response session, the students will show an understanding of the male reproductive system by examining the diagrams and handouts given to them according to the teacher’s instruction.
Given a closure session, students will demonstrate an understanding of the male reproductive system by answering the questions from the teacher according to class protocols.
This lesson ties in with the other sexuality lessons to compile enough lessons to create a unit.
