I believe presenting children with opportunities to decide what healthy foods are to be included in his/her daily menu is a significant way to encourage healthy, nutritional choices to not only support optimal brain & body development, but, also, instill healthy habits that can last throughout a child's lifetime.

Every Day I Need to Eat….help children learn what foods & how much of those foods are to be included on a daily basis with a Menu Sample & Fill-In Menu Template.
Finally, a collection of Follow the Food Groups Recipes is a part of this unit’s activities with simple instructions children can follow while making their own nutritious foods. Blank cards will, hopefully, encourage children to include favorites as well as create some new, healthy recipes to add to the collection.
