This Health EDventure lesson provides students with a definition of and ideas for exercise, as well as a basic understanding of the benefits of daily physical activity. The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends that children participate in at least one hour of physical activity each day.

Content area: Physical Activity - Goal Setting, Recommended Guidelines, Types/Kinds

Students learn the benefits of exercise by completing a training camp exercise activity each day for five days. A School to Home Connection is included to inform parents of the tracking activity.

Instructional Time:
Day 1: 40 minutes
Day 2-6: 15 minutes each day
