This lesson provides students with an overview of the five major food groups defined by MyPlate - fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains and proteins. Students will track their their eating for 5 days through an in class activity where students record their lunch by coloring food group sections on a plate diagram. The food group categories will be further reinforced through the Food Group Bingo game.
Writing prompts are also included.
