Help your students to fall in love with new vocabulary words with this quick and easy heart-shaped Frayer Model! Using this model, students will write the definition of a word, an example (synonym), a non-example (antonym), and an original sentence using the term, and then draw that sentence. For more fun, encourage students to cut out the hearts and paste them on the wall for a simple Valentine's Day activity.
This file was originally designed to be paired with Diane Ackerman's "Love's Vocabulary," part of the 9th-grade English language arts curriculum in Florida. However, this model can be used with any lesson or vocabulary set of your choice at any grade level!
