I use this sticker book to help my students and parents know how many words their student knows, as well as what words to work on next. Using this book, I can differentiate what words each child is working on based on their individualized needs, with the expectation being for them to learn at least 5 new words a week. I test them once a week to see what new words they learned, and they get can get a new sticker in their book for each new word they know. I let them have a big sticker at the top for each whole page they know. I've noticed my students are learning between 10-15 new words a week since we started using this tool, and I believe its because it works to help motivate them and put the tools in parents hands to know how to help them.
These words line up to the Readers A-C that they are expected to know for the STEP assessment, though they are also pretty common place sight words.
