This file contains an engaging card game for 2-4 players to practice multiplying by multiples of 10 (30x20, 400x70).
Directions: Print, laminate, and cut apart the cards. Put the cards in a container (a cute Valentine gift bag or tin). A student draws a card from the container and finds the product (I like to use white boards). If the product is correct, the student keeps the card. If the product is incorrect, the card goes back into the container. If a student draws a “heartbreaker!” card, s/he must return all cards to the container. The game is over when the container is empty. The student with the most cards is the winner.
There are 35 problem cards and 7 "heartbreaker!" cards. An answer key is included for students to check each others work. This game can be used as a math center and for an activity for early finishers.
