This can be played in a large group by having the children state the object name and then constructing the word with letter cards. You can make this self checking by correctly spelling each word in the back of each picture prior to laminating it.
** For those that can handle it, this can also be used in literacy centers as well.
You will find a worksheet that can be used for follow up/assessment. There are 2 differentiated worksheets –write the word or cut and glue the vowel
Items are: bat, moon, tree, bird, frog, owl, fox, car, fish, crab, book, worm
Laminate and cut out the hearts for use in a pocket chart. Place the pictures randomly into a pocket chart and the letter cards below them in rows.
