Heat Project Based Learning (PBL)/ STEAM Engineering Design Process Unit

Encourage your student engineers to "keep it cool," as they use the Engineering Design Process to design their own water bottle insulators for field day. This multi-disciplinary, project-based learning unit incorporates science standards, persuasive writing standards, math standards, and more. Packet includes 14 daily lesson plans, 17 page student engineering journal, and resource links. The student journal includes all forms and planning guides students would need to get from the research stage to a finished product.This unit is designed around Georgia's 3rd grade science standards. However, can be easily adapted to your own state standards related to thermal energy.
