Product Description

A worksheet that could be completed as individual work, small group student work or teacher lead instruction focusing calculating the energy involved in chemical reactions in which enthalpies of reactions are given and students must use a balanced chemical equation to solve for overall heat of a reaction. Questions also include problems in which students must use the calorimetry equations (H = m x T x Cp) to solve for heats of reaction, as well as questions that include interpreting energy curve diagrams and respond to data about energy stored in different organic molecules. Answer key is included. I would also encourage you to download my reference paper "Thermodynamic Properties" that list the specific heat capacities of commons substances as well the Enthalpy of Formation, Entropy Values and Gibbs Free Energy values for a variety of substances.
