Description
Alef-Bet Fly Trap is an easy-to-use game for Hebrew students at the beginning of their Hebrew literacy journeys. Through play, your Hebrew students can identify a targeted group of Hebrew letters and sounds commonly taught at the beginning of Hebrew literacy instruction.
Because Fly Trap is partner-based, interactive, and easy to play, it's perfect for all ages and abilities. Just roll the die, or use the cube template provided. Then color in one box according to its corresponding letter at the top of the page.
Contents
1. Fly Trap Level 1 for Absolute Beginners
Students will become familiar with the first 6 Hebrew letters commonly used to begin Hebrew reading instruction. They include lamed, caf, shin, mem, bet, and tav.
2. Fly Trap, Final Letter Recognition
More advanced students will practice matching the 5 Hebrew letters with their final counterparts. They include final tzadee, final chaf, final nun, final mem, and final fay.
3. 1 Die. NO dice? No problem! I've included a printable template for you!
How to Play
Both players will need a copy of this sheet, a pencil, and a die to share.
Take turns rolling the die and shading in a box with the matching letter. For example, if you roll a 5, shade in any box with a lamed. The first to shade in 8 boxes surrounding a fly, wins!
