For this "Write the Room" activity, I first put the Hebrew letters on flashcards and spread them around various tables and surfaces in the classroom. Each flashcard has the name of the letter written in English on one side, and the letter printed in Hebrew on the other. Students each get a worksheet and a pencil. As they make their way around the room, they should place each letter that they find in one of the three categories: "Letters that I know well", "Letters that I kind of know", "Letters that I don't remember". This is a great activity to do as a review at the beginning of the year because it also gives you as the teacher an idea of what students remember and what you really need to focus on.
