This is a group-based Internet research project designed for Spanish students studying immigration in the United States. It is designed for six groups but can be broken into more or less groups depending on your class size. Students will work together to find answers to questions about immigration (Facts about immigration, Getting a Visa from Mexico, Getting a Visa from Europe, Getting a Green Card, Getting citizenship, and additional questions) on the Internet. The answers are not included in this packet because many of them change each year. In the sections with space for additional information, I expect my students to list 3 to 5 additional facts that they learned in their research to share with the class. Research should take one to two class periods with another class or two to present the results to the rest of the class. Each student is responsible for completing the entire packet by the end of the presentations.
