OBJECTIVE: To help students K-5 determine the meaning of the new word formed when an affix is added to a known word.
ACTIVITY: No prep needed other than to print off copies for each student. Place them in centers and use student performance to determine which students are ready to move on and which need to be pulled into small group for reteaching.
MATERIALS: Besides crayons or colored pencils, none, just print off enough cop-ies of the activity that you need. Answer key is also provided.
