This product includes a cover and 9 pages of text with colorful pictures that tells a story about a cat stuck in a tree and a dog who helps out. The text contains all 40 pre-primer sight words in black text (the non-pre-primer sight words are a grey text so that you can tell the difference), many of them included multiple times to ensure practice and retention. Included at the end of the document are teacher materials, including a checklist for the sight words read correctly (up to 3 times per word), and three different-leveled comprehension quizzes for the story.
Use this product to read with Kindergarten and first-grade-leveled students, test sight words in an authentic way, as well as work on basic wh- question comprehension skills.
Print the document and cut each page in half; bind together to create a book. Laminate for durability. Re-print just the teacher pages to work with each student individually.
