I've just retired after 31 years of teach, with the last nearly 20 years teaching AP Literature and AP Language and being an once-in-awhile AP Literature Reader for the College Board. Going through my files, I have found lots of very helpful documents for teach either AP English class. Some of these include data analysis charts that students complete based on their different TW's--there are charts for each of the six different types of TW's for both AP courses. By the way, using these charts got me high scores on my teacher evaluation. ;-) In addition to the data charts there are tons of tips and advice I've used with my students and their writing, last-minute prep advice, an entire independent writing workshop to use based on the data analysis charts (mainly for AP Lang), and two must-give quizzes to help improve your students' use of analyzing verbs and tone words. (As an AP reader it became very tedious reading essay after essay with students writing the word "uses" or "says" over and over again. Ugh!) As I go through more of my digital files, if I find more helpful documents, I'll add them and you'll be notified of the additions.
