Product Description
Activity 1 - Table Diagram Worksheet
In a small group or 1:1, have students draw, label, and/or use smiley stickers to identify the specific people required to be at their CSE meeting. You may have more people at the meeting that you want to add to the diagram. This activity is especially helpful before the first time a child attends his/her CSE meeting or as a review before any meeting. If the child has multiple general education teachers, I like to request that the one represented in the drawing be the one invited to the meeting. I’ve found this activity helps students to be more comfortable and know what to expect at the meeting. It can even serve as a way to introduce members at the meeting.
Activity 2 – I want you....Uncle Sam Worksheet
This activity should follow some sort of review or teaching about the reasons students should participate in their CSE meeting. Have students summarize the reasoning for why students should participate in meetings about their IEP and share their statements for discussion.
