This activity helps students understand what the multiple intelligences are all about in a fun, engaging lesson. It helps them figure out their own strengths and weaknesses by asking students to work with a partner on 8 different tasks. Each task emphasizes one of the intelligences.
Teachers have been learning about Multiple intelligence for years. However, most students still tend to categorize themselves and others as smart or not smart. Calling them "Smarts" rather than intelligences, this activity was designed for Middle level learners, but could easily be adapted for upper elementary or even high school.
Included with this purchase is a lesson plan with step by step instructions, a graphic organizer with descriptions of each type of "Smart", a packet with eight different tasks, a response sheet for the tasks, a follow-up assignment relating possible career choices in each intelligence, and a quiz.
