It’s important for children to learn about cultural diversity, which includes global artwork. This lesson plan is for teachers who want to read Hannah the Henna Helper to their students to teach about temporary henna tattoos that come from the Middle East and India. After reading the story, the students will practice drawing different henna designs like the one illustrated in the book. Next, the students will create their own paper hands with designs just like Hannah did in the story.
I wrote and illustrated Hannah the Henna Helper, but it will need to be purchased separately.
