Product Description
What is a sensory figure? A sensory figure is often used as an interactive notebook assignment to help students develop empathy and a deeper understanding of a person or event. I use this as a stand alone assignment to help students all of the achievements related to Henry Clay. Henry Clay is one of the most important figures in American History, but students often struggle with understanding everything he was involved in. This assignment helps students reflect on his role in the Compromise of 1820, negotiator for the Treaty of Ghent, and the American System. The Compromise of 1833 and Compromise of 1850 could easily be added to this assignment. This assignment includes an easy to use rubric and example for students to follow.
