I try hard to create materials that are meaningful and purposeful. I think it is VERY important for everything to "look like reading and writing". I am not big on giving the students worksheets just to keep them busy. Every activity includes students reading and/or writing and applying those weekly skills.
These are great to use as connected practice, small group, or even intervention!
