The herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores research unit was created to help students’ research topics to gain an understanding of common core state standards. This unit integrates English language arts and science. The tasks in the herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores research unit were created to help students in the second through twelfth grades research herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores to master common core state standards. Many of the tasks are differentiated to help students learn at different educational levels. The rigor of the herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores unit will also be differentiated based on the teacher-selected and students –selected print research resources and electronic research resources that will be used to complete the unit. The herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores research unit includes sixty-four pages that include step-by-step instruction on how to implement the unit. This unit includes many educational tasks. The teacher will decide which tasks he or she wants to include from the herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores research unit. These are the common core state standards the students will master during the herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores research unit.
