Originally created as a companion writing assignment for the Hampton-Brown and National Geographic EDGE Reading, Writing, and Language curriculum. To be paired with readings for Level B: Unit 2: Cluster 2.
However, this assignment easily lends itself to any curriculum where students are encouraged to share a personal holiday tradition that they want others to experience. Incorporates both informative/expository writing and argumentative writing. Designed for scaffolding for EL and ELD students but adaptive to any population.
