Guide your students to discover What Makes a Hero in this mini-unit!
The final product will be a BIOGRAPHY! This is a lot of fun and ties in Social Studies themes, as well.
1) Students will record observations and predictions about the provided photographs (using recording sheet)
2) Students will discuss what qualities make someone a hero/whether or not the people in the photographs can be considered heroes.
3) Teacher sends home SuperHERO Interview-- students interview someone they personally consider a hero (Question/Recording sheet included)
4) Using the info gathered from the interview, students use provided paper to write a biography about their heroes
