Students view a short clip narrated by Matthew WInkler about the Hero and the concept of the Hero's Journey. Link in provided worksheets. Students watch the clip once without writing responses , and again when they can write. Students are asked 10 questions in total , there are 2 extended responses of 5 marks each. One longer response looks at the role of the hero after studying hero's in class, the other is a related text question. It would be envisaged that the class had been reading a text, viewing a film, or even looking at poetry about hero's. They are to relate their understanding of what constitutes a hero after viewing the clip and their wide reading.
