Kids are going to love this fun, playful way to learn about word families!
There are 3 levels to this activity:
1) Introduce 1-2 word families at a time (visual discrimination)
2) Have kids sort all 16 words families included: ad, ail, ake, all, ap, at, ay, est, ice, ill, ing, ish, oon, out, un, and ump (visual discrimination)
3) Oral Discrimination; kids will use a picture to help them figure out the word and then by listening to how the word sounds they will sort the picture hershey kisses.
This activity can be widely adapted for centers or hands on activities for Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and even 2nd grade students.
