Every young child enjoys activities that revolve around them! This is a letter recognition activity that revolves around each child’s individual name. It’s hands-on, engaging and an activity my own young students have enjoyed immensely.
In this activity, students place a T-chart on a flat surface along with letter tiles or plastic letters. One side of the T-chart is for letters not in the child's name. The other side is for letters in their name. Students choose a letter, say it's name, and place it on the correct side of the T-chart. It's easy. It's simple. It's fun. It's effective. I hope you enjoy this activity.
