Literacy skills are embedded into the lessons: Non-fiction text, speaking/listening, writing response, and technology
A compelling question guides the unit and supporting questions help students to focus their knowledge and build to a greater understanding. Students are working on higher level thinking skills and building vocabulary. All activities are appropriate for winter in kindergarten.
