Product Description
This assignment allows students to use artistic skills as well as their analytical skills in your English class!

For the assignment I assign groups of students a character (Putnams, Parris, Abigail, Proctor, Hale, or "all the girls") and they are responsible for investigating that character's or those characters' motivations for hiding their "true identity."

Students must:

-come up with five symbols that accurately represent the character and give an explanation for each.
-Find quotes from the text to help support their claims of the character's identity.
-Decorate a mask with their symbols and color their masks.

I then make the groups present their masks and explain the symbols to the class.
