In this activity, students will identify where the hot air balloon sits on the inch ruler. I created this activity to help my students make the connection between fractions on a number line, and measuring with halves and fourths.
This can be used as a center station or a teacher table activity. I created to use in my classroom as a search and solve the room center. Post the ruler cards around the room and have students search the room looking for the cards, recording their answers as they go.
