Fun and engaging high-frequency words partner games that help students practice reading a variety of sight words. These partner games are designed for first through third-grade students who know how to play two-player partner games.
There are 8 games used with five sets of words that increase in complexity. Games include word-reading and sentence-reading and move from simple high-frequency words to more complex irregular words.
Words chosen for the levels include words from traditional sight word lists as well as irregularly spelled words (non-decodable) through thethird grade.

This unit is perfect for students who know how to read cvc and vce words, but struggle with sight words or high-frequency words. Level #1 assumes students know how to read cvc, blends, and digraphs. Those phonics patterns are used in the sentences.
Also included are PDF templates of the games to write in your own words.
See the preview for a word list and photographs of all the included activities.
