"High Noon" starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly is a classic western film every movie buff must see. This is the story of a town marshall forced to face a gang of killers by himself. The film won four academy awards (actor, editing, music-score and music song, plus two golden globes (actor, actress, score, cinematography-black and white). In 1989 it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant." The study questions ask the viewers the to see how alone Will Kane is in this situation, why he is alone, why Frank Miller wants to kill Marshall Kane and why Kane's new wife wants him to walk away from all violence. The questions also review prior relationships in the characters lives that test loyalty, forgiveness and female bonding through mutual love and respect. This film demonstrates the power of ONE determined person to do what is the right thing to do no matter the outcome. Doing the RIGHT thing is inspirational to all who witness it which is what occurs in "High Noon."
