This bundled listing includes 6 professionally formatted lesson plans for the high school art teacher or homeschooler. These lesson plans follow the Madeline Hunter/Elements of Effective Instruction Model. Each lesson plan includes relevant national visual art standards, objectives, resources, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, guided instruction, independent practice and closure). Interdisciplinary connections and differentiations are also noted where applicable.
Included with the lesson plans are a step by step assignment sheet with objectives and vocabulary, a reproducible list of idioms, a value scale practice worksheet, a peer review activity and a student-friendly rubric for the main studio assignment. There are eight student samples to review or share with your class.
This unit makes wonderful connections to the high school English curriculum and develops students understanding of double entendre and metaphor. It was a favorite lesson of my high school principals when I was observed.
