This studio-based high school art unit is a professionally designed and classroom tested series of lessons for creating a universal currency.
This bundled listing includes 5 professionally formatted lesson plans for the high school art teacher or homeschooler. These lesson plans follow the Madeline Hunter/Elements of Effective Instruction Model. Each lesson plan includes relevant visual art standards, objectives, resources, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, guided instruction, independent practice and closure). Interdisciplinary connections and differentiations are also noted where applicable. This unit could make wonderful connections to the high school history class by starting with an analysis of the evolution of the dollar bill in our country. The lesson could be done completely on the computer.
Included with the lesson plans is a two sided student-friendly assignment sheet with objectives, vocabulary, and a rubric for the main studio assignment. There are two student samples to review or share with your class. There is also a worksheet for students to complete an inventory of the dollar bill.
Please do not hesitate to contact me before or after the sale with any questions. Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated and I’d love to hear how it worked in your classroom.
