Product Description
Here’s a package of arithmetic and math activities bound to please any Geometry teacher . . . a great present for yourself, or a favorite teacher. The “combo +” includes five different forms of activities geared to improving the atmosphere and the testing scores of any Geometry classroom . . . and it’s priced at a 26% discount from buying the five items separately. Included are: the complete set of Geometry Board Sessions WITH SOLUTIONS to all the problems, not just answers ($19.95), the complete set of Geometry Mathnerdy “game boards” ($2.95), the complete set of 14 High School Cartesian Cartoons ($14.95), Dang, You’re Fast at Math ($14.95), and A Substantial Number of Neat Numbers ($14.95).
Board Sessions are many, many problems that span a year’s worth of math work in the Geometry classroom, all designed to constantly review previous material and come out nicely with no need for a calculator. They can be used as classroom openers/closers, blackboard/whiteboard problems to do in class, review assignments, and even ACT/SAT review or Quiz Bowl problems . Mathnerdy game boards are a set of 5 sheets with four Jeopardy-like columns on each sheet enabling competition and classroom fun, and Cartesian Cartoons are 14 puzzle sheets that use pieces of functions (lines, absolute values, parabolas, circles, ellipses, and hyperbolas) to graph cartoonish pictures. Dang You’re Fast at Math and A Substantial Number of Neat Numbers is a "two-volume set” of problems and puzzles which could well be all that any school needs for their students to master those parts of arithmetic now needed in today's world . . . math or otherwise. The student will NOT have to do 568 x 47. That's for the calculator. The problems in this offering concentrate on those operations which should be done with no calculator. The problems herein work on mastering powers that should be known, and properties that are quite useful in computations. Parts of all major tests emphasize just these facets of math. Eventually most tests will have a "no calculator" part and a calculator part. The AP-Calculus test already does, and the concept is spreading quickly. In short, one book deals with mastering the fundamentals, the other with developing quickness. (For a more detailed explanation on each "book" look under A Substantial Prime Number of Neat Numbers and Dang, You're Fast at Math in this Value Added Publishing site that you are now in.)
