Do your students need a review of prepositions and appositives, or need to sharpen their understanding of what makes good sentences? This is a great mini-unit to help out with that!
- There are four single sided (or two double-sided) lesson worksheets on prepositions and prepositional phrases that ask students to identify prepositions in context, add appropriate prepositions to blanks, and create prepositional phrases to complete sentences. There is also a list of commonly used prepositions with explanations of concepts.
- There are two single-sided (or one double-sided) lesson worksheets on appositives and appositive phrases that ask students to identify the appositives within sentences, as well as what the appositives are referring to. Students must write appositives, as well as underline them, and draw arrows to ensure understanding. Rules and explanations are provided.
- There are two single-sided (or one double-sided) review of prepositions, prepositional phrases, and appositives.
- I've also included an assessment* for you as a bonus! It is 25 questions, and students identify prepositions in a T/F section, underline prepositional phrases, and show their understanding of appositives in two multiple choice sections.
Again, all worksheets have explanations and reminders of the concepts, as well as examples.
⭐ ALL worksheets, review, and test have answer keys.
*The assessment included in this Prepositions & Appositives pack is an alternate (but similar) to the one in my HS Grammar Assessments Pack.
