This nutrition unit plan was designed for high school health education. It contains five skill-based lessons that address performance indicators from the National Health Education Standards: #2: Analyzing Influences; #3: Accessing Information; #5: Decision-Making; and #6: Goal-Setting.
Each lesson addresses specific National Health Education Standards and benchmarks. Each lesson contains a bell-activity, skill and practice activities, and essential questions to be used in closure activities or as test questions.
I have also included a performance task to be used as an alternative assessment of student learning in the unit. There are two project choices, student handout, and assessment rubric.
