This quantitative, inquiry based laboratory exercise for physics or physical science classes examines the angular frequency of a mass attached to a spring and set into simple harmonic motion. Hooke's Law, otherwise known as the spring force, is also examined. Applicable to Physical Science, Physics, Honors Physics, and AP Physics classes.

This exercise uses a Hooke's Law apparatus sold by Flinn Scientific.

This laboratory exercise comes bundled with General Guidelines For Laboratory Reports.
